Enjoying the Mountains Together

With care and respect for nature

To ensure that guests, dogs and nature can all be enjoyed in harmony, we kindly ask you to keep a few important guidelines in mind during your stay.

Please keep your dog on a lead

Leash regulations apply in many areas around Maria Alm and throughout the Hochkönig region, especially on Alpine pastures and wherever livestock may be present. Keeping your dog on a lead helps protect animals, respects other hikers and ensures a safe experience for everyone.

Help keep nature clean

Please dispose of your dog's waste responsibly. Dog waste bags and disposal bins are available along many walking and hiking trails, helping to keep the beautiful mountain landscape clean for all visitors.

Respect people, wildlife and farm animals

Not everyone feels comfortable around free-running dogs, and wildlife and grazing animals also need their space. By showing consideration for one another, we can all help preserve the unique natural environment of the Hochkönig region and ensure a relaxed atmosphere for everyone.

Thank you for helping us keep the mountains around Maria Alm a wonderful place for both people and their four-legged companions.

Good to Know

For your holiday with your dog

To help us prepare everything for you and your four-legged companion, please let us know when making your enquiry or booking if you will be travelling with a dog. Please note that dogs cannot be accommodated in every room category.

The supplement for your dog is €35 per day (food not included). On arrival, your companion will be welcomed with a thoughtfully prepared dog welcome package.

To ensure a pleasant stay for all guests, dogs are not permitted in the spa, the GenussZeit dining area or at the natural swimming pool. They are, however, very welcome to join you on the terrace, in the lobby and in the bar & lounge.

If a room requires exceptional additional cleaning due to heavy soiling, we reserve the right to charge an extra cleaning fee.

Please also ensure that your dog is covered by valid liability insurance for any potential damage.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for both guests and their four-legged companions.
