Trail running at Hochkönig

The Hochkönig region is one of the Alps' most spectacular destinations for trail running. With around 45 varied routes, beginners, recreational runners and experienced trail athletes will all find ideal conditions to explore the mountains at their own pace.

The trails lead along narrow mountain paths, scenic ridgelines, colourful alpine meadows and challenging climbs. Every route rewards your efforts with breathtaking views of the Hochkönig massif and the surrounding Alpine landscape.

The region is also home to two popular trail running events: the Kumpellauf in Mühlbach and the internationally renowned Hochkönigman. Each year, these events attract runners from around the world, making the Hochkönig region a favourite destination for mountain running enthusiasts.
